The New Orleans Redevelopment Authority (NORA) has commissioned Gilmore Auction & Realty to auction 115+ properties on Saturday, January 21st at 10:00 a.m.
The auction will be held at the University of New Orleans, Human Performance Center, 2000 Lakeshore Dr., New Orleans, LA 70148. Bidding will start at $1,000 on each property. Properties will sell to the highest bidder regardless of price. Interested bidders are invited to visit www.gilmoreauction.com for property information, photos, pre-registration and online bidding.
Properties include single family homes, duplexes and vacant lots. The properties are located in 20 Neighborhoods in New Orleans including Lakeview, West End, Navarre, Mid City, Holy Cross, Hollygrove, Bywater, Central City, Dixon, Lower Ninth Ward, McDonough, Seventh Ward, St. Claude, St. Roch, Village De Lest, West Lake Forest, Milan, Bayou St. John, Desire and Gert Town.
Bidders must bring a $500 Cashier’s Check to the auction. This $500 will be part of the 10% deposit due auction day for winning bidders. There is no cost to bid and no Buyer’s Premium.
Winning bidders will agree to rehab or begin construction on the property within 12 months and keep it free from blight. Bidders may use the property for green space if they are the directly adjacent property owner.
