FAQs

How can I receive updates regarding the next Lakeview property sales?

ANSWER:

Properties in the area are not currently avaiable for sale outside of the Lot Next Door Program. A list of properties to be sold is also not yet available, but will be publicly advertised before the sale.

Please visit www.lakeviewcivic.org and click on “NORA Info”. You will be able to enter your name and email address into the LCIA database, allowing us to contact you as soon as information becomes available. You can also register to receive updates by suscribing to NORA’s Newletter at www.noraworks.org.

Are houses and lots available to the general public?

ANSWER:

Properties in Orleans Parish which are part of the Louisiana Land Trust inventory are available to the general public through NORA’s RFPs. Individuals are asked to review OPEN RFPs and submit proposals for the purchase of the properties listed as available through the RFP. Should you have any questions, contact the project manager listed as the point of contact for the particular RFP. If you have general questions, please call (504)658-4400.

How do I purchase a property offered through a RFP? Who do I contact and how?

ANSWER:

Once you have downloaded a Request for Proposals (RFP) from www.noraworks.org, read through the RFP very carefully. The RFP will outline what properties are available, what information you should include in your proposal and how the proposal will be scored. You’ll want to prepare your proposal based on these requirements and criteria, letting NORA staff and our neighborhood partners know what properties you would like to redevelop and how you plan to do so. if you have any questions when preparing your proposal, contact the Project Manager named as the point of contact in the RFP. Of course, if you have trouble identifying the Project Manager after reading through the RFP, you may call (504)658-4400 and NORA’s staff will direct you appropriately.
