PUBLIC NOTICE: NEIGHBORHOOD INITIATED REDEVELOPMENT, LAKEVIEW NEIGHBORHOOD, NEW ORLEANS
Neighborhood Initiated Redevelopment Lakeview Neighborhood, New Orleans, LA Dated: February 22, 2011 The Lakeview Civic Improvement Association (LCIA) approached the New Orleans Redevelopment Authority (NORA) and asked that NORA work in partnership with LCIA to bring blighted and Louisiana Land Trust (LLT) properties in the Lakeview neighborhood back into commerce. NORA and LCIA entered into a Memorandum of Understanding to develop the property disposition solutions for the neighborhood in accordance with NORA’s Disposition Policies and Procedures. NORA collaborates with LCIA to identify LLT properties for “community use” as outlined in the MOU that will contribute to a long lasting and sustainable community. 6354 General Diaz, 6384 General Diaz and 6249 Marshall Foch have been identified as community use properties to be sold as parking lot space and play space in the Lakeview Community.

Alternative Housing Pilot Program Case Management RFP
Project Overview: The Louisiana Cottage program will construct forty (40) housing units on NORA-controlled properties that NORA intends for homeownership units. Funding for the Project is made available under Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and was created in the aftermath of Katrina as part of the Alternative Housing Pilot Program (AHPP). The Louisiana Cottage program is creating housing for families that FEMA has identified as eligible for these housing units. The LRA has sent notice to families from this eligible list, and the LRA is in the process of collecting and reviewing completed applications from families who want to be placed in these housing units. Once completed, families can select eligible homes for placement.

St. Claude Corridor Redvelopment Application
Background: NORA is a public authority created under the laws of the State of Louisiana to promote neighborhood revitalization and community redevelopment in the City of New Orleans. NORA is seeking applications from organizations interested in commercial and mixed-use redevelopment along the Saint Claude Avenue Corridor (“the Corridor”). For the purpose of this document, the Corridor includes properties that have frontage on Saint Claude Avenue, from Elysian Fields Avenue to the Orleans Parish-St. Bernard Parish Line.
