Orleans Housing Investment Program in Lower Ninth Ward (O-HIP L9)

REQUEST FOR APPLICATIONS TO DEVELOP SINGLE-FAMILY HOMES ON SCATTERED SITES ON BEHALF OF THE NEW ORLEANS REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY AND THE NEW ORLEANS REDEVELOPMENT UNLIMITED INC.

Notice is hereby given that the New Orleans Redevelopment Authority (NORA) and the New Orleans Redevelopment Unlimited, Inc. (NORU) request applications from organizations and individuals, seeking to purchase lots owned by NORA only in the Lower Ninth Ward and request financing from New Orleans Redevelopment Unlimited, Inc. (“NORU”) to support the redevelopment of those lots.

An informational meeting will be held at NORA’s office located at 1409 Oretha Castle Haley Boulevard, 4th Floor, on Thursday October 18, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. (CST). Respondents are encouraged to attend this meeting, during which time NORA staff will discuss the application process, redevelopment requirements and answer questions.

All applications must be submitted to NORA no later than Monday, November 5, 2018 at 4:00 p.m. (CST) directed to the attention of: Kristy Chauvin, Procurement and Contracts Coordinator, 1409 Oretha Castle Haley Boulevard, New Orleans, LA 70113, 504-658-4400, kdchauvin@nola.gov as follows:

One signed submission as a .pdf file on CD, USB or other electronic delivery method, marked with the applicant’s name and “O-HIP L9 2018”

and

  1. Five printed copies of the application with exhibits enclosed in a sealed envelope, marked with applicants name and “O-HIP L9 2018”.

The New Orleans Redevelopment Authority (NORA) desires to obtain an Insurance Producer of Record to represent and service NORA’s Property and Casualty Insurance Program, including Flood, Wind, Fire, Automobile Program, Workers’ Compensation, Officers and Directors Liability, Public Officials, Crime and other risk management needs. NORA requests proposals from experienced firms to provide the needed services. Proposals should also address the Property and Casualty Insurance Program, including Flood, Wind, Fire, Automobile Program, Workers’ Compensation, Officers and Directors Liability, Public Officials, Crime and other risk management needs for NORA’s non-profit corporate affiliate, New Orleans Redevelopment Unlimited, Inc. (NORU).
The New Orleans Redevelopment Authority (NORA) requests qualifications from experienced architectural firms to provide technical design assistance to commercial building owners and small businesses applying for façade improvement grants along NORA’s eligible commercial corridors.
