The City of New Orleans is partnering with the Sewerage and Water Board of New Orleans (SWBNO), the Housing Authority of New Orleans (HANO), the New Orleans Redevelopment Authority (NORA), Tulane University, and Loyola University to update the New Orleans Hazard Mitigation Action Plan (HMAP). The city is hosting a series of public meetings toengage area residents and stakeholders in this planning process. At these interactive public meetings, community members will have the chance to:
- Collaborate with the city's hazard mitigation planning team
- Identify areas of the city at higher risk from natural hazards
- Discuss proposed actions to reduce risks
We are inviting all members of the community to attend ameeting to collaborate in the planning process.
